Reviews of Ernest Crescent, Happy Valley

"A great place to gow up"

Ernest Crescent is a nice street in a nice area. Well covered with older trees and runs by reserves and creeks it is a great place for a kid to grow up.

There are good bus services travelling towards all the major attractions near by, although the trip into the city can be a long one of 50 minutes or more. Ernest crescent also provides easy access by car to a number of major routes and is not far from local shops.

There are a number of supermarkets nearby, including Coles/BiLo, Foodland and Woolworths. However, only Foodland is within walking distance. At the Foodland complex there is also a good collection of shops including drycleaners, delis, video hire and a McDonalds.

For nature lovers it is not uncommon to see a Koala or hear a Kookaburra in your backyard. Rosella,s those beautiful birds are often seen as well.

The neighbours are friendly but not in your face. You more likely to see them and chat to them going for a walk in the local reservces than you are to stick your head over the back fence.

The downside for Ernest Crescent is that it is a reasonably busy street and traffic can travel at speeds that can make you uncomfortable if you haev young children. But this shouldn't matter as the houses and blocks are large enough for kids to play in the back yard. There is no need to resort to the street to play.

I grew up on Ernest Crescent and loved every minute of it. Friends were close by, school was within walking distance and there were parks and playgrounds withing walking distance. Not to mention the creeks which provdied hours of fun during the winter. I can now see my nieces and nephews who live close by still enjoying those same benefits.

It is a good street to live, nice and green and well located.
