Most of private Primary schools great. Essendon North Primary is a disgrace, principal is awful, lots of bullying not addressed. Essendon Primary good, Aberfeldie good. Strathmore Primary also good

Highly subjective. Essendon is blessed with a huge range of state, catholic and private options. As a rule being a higher socio economic area all are excellent options. Your primary school choice is influenced by your secondary school preferences. Zoning is very strict compared to some areas for catholic and state options. Principals have a big influence on parent satisfaction so ask around. Whilst my childrens school was great in many ways the principal was and still is an arrogant tosser.
