"Excellent schools and great for families"
Catchment zone for excellent schools. Safe and close to all amenities including Woden Westfield Shopping Centre, future TAFE and tram station. Great potential for capital growth and rental return.

"Excellent family suburb"
Love, love, love living in Farrer with our family of five. Close to the best schools in Canberra and has a very tranquil vibe. Very trendy cafe is super popular on weekends and the shops have improved significantly in our time here. Some of the comments here are simply incorrect. Farrer has multiple parks and has virtually no through-traffic. Some of the streets in Farrer are absolutely beautiful. Wide streets and sprawling homes are commonplace.

"A Community for All"
Farrer is located around 11 kms south west of the city. It is one of the larger suburbs in Canberra. It has a local shopping centre to meet the daily needs of the community and a major shopping centre is less than 10 minutes away. The Farrer Ridge Park is part of the Canberra Nature Park network and there are plenty of great walks to explore, or if you prefer horse riding or mountain biking. It has a local oval where all the sporting groups in the community compete. It also has a scout hall and a retirement village thus providing both ends of the age spectrum.
Pros
- Family friendly
- Plenty of choice for schooling
- Great parks and gardens
Cons
- Nightlife
- Traffic
