Reviews of Felixstow, SA

"Excellent location that is underated by most"

Have lived in Felixstow for over 20 years. It's the walking convience of being within 5 minute to the Klemzig obahn interchange. Where you basically never need to check the schedule as buses are so frequent.

Decent local library and swimming facilities for young families and those with time to spare.

For the nature enthusiast, the walking/bike riding track follows the river Torrens all the way into the city.

Short 5 minute drive and you're having a coffee/meal or watching a movie on the Parade in Norwood. 10 minutes and you're in the city for work/study or shopping etc.

The locals are friendly and my neighbours look out for each other. Just traditional community spirit that some newer areas may lack.

Local dining and drinking options are limited. But just a short uber ride for those looking for a night out. Only negative for the immediate area.

"Could not believe the value for money"

We looked for a house to buy in nearby Royston Park then we stumbled across the newer area of Felixstow and bought in here, saving a huge amount of $$$ in the process. We are a five minute walk to the OBahn Interchange for a ten minute express bus ride to the middle of the CBD. We have been able to reduce from two cars to one living here.

"Hidden gem"

Moved in couple of years ago and cant get over the value for money housing . A few minutes walk to the OBahn interchange which is currently a short trip into the CBD via a green reserve known as Linear Park & once the city access project is completed by the end of 2017, journey time will be 10 mins to the centre of the CBD with buses minutes apart on weekdays, brilliant transport system. With Adelaide CBD offering so much to do, be it shopping, eating, drinking, sport, arts, theatres, botanic gardens, multiple universities and more, being 10 minutes away but in suburbia is great. Locally in the suburb there are large parkland areas, community centre, library, Olympic swimming pool, sporting clubs & shopping options, all of this within walking / cycling distance. The older part of the suburb is just starting to go through redevelopment and there are also newer areas subdivided about 15-20 years ago that have good quality housing available on the city side of the suburb. Being 5+ Km's by road from CBD, a 5 minute drive to Norwood and a 10 minute drive to Burnside, makes it a hidden location with convenience, especially when nearby blue chip suburbs cost so much more. If you have kids, dogs, are retired or are professionals who work in the CBD or like cycling in Linear Park, it is hard to go wrong. I am surprised there is not more demand in this location and am happy that we moved here, after returning from working interstate.

"Great place to live"

So close to the city and the parade without the cost. Transport with the O-Bahn close by makes it very easy to get to the city in under 5 minutes.
