Exchange student moving to Ferntree Gully - will I like it?
Hi, I'm going to Sassafras in Ferntree Gully this summer for a whole year as an exchange student. I'm comming from Denmark, I'm 16 years old and I love the citylife, shopping and boys. But Ferntree Gully isn't the best city for that, right? I will attend a catholic school for girls, ONLY girls - Omg. In Denmark we don't have specifics schools for girls, and specifics schools for boys, It's so weird! And the worst is, that I'm not even catholic, and now I'm going to pray every single day in school! Am I going to have a boring year? Or will I love it in Ferntree Gully and Sassafras and the catholic school?

oops FTG is considered an outer suburb of melbourne, quite ruralish atmosphere with quaint little villages that some people travel out to see on the weekend, not sure if you have seen neighbours the tv show but think that but even more so if that makes sense. Cant help out about the catholic girls school --there is a cliche that they are either quite wild or bit dorky ...

Ferntree Gully is a a little out of the action, so it won't be the best for city life or shopping unfortunately.
