Well Christina, because this is favorite spot for high rollers and brokers, the Financial District South is one of the most expensive places to live in San Francisco. A 1-bedroom will run you between $2900 and $5900. (Just to put that in perspective that is roughly between $35 K and $70 K/year.) That is the mortgage for a lot of houses in the Bay Area.
