Reviews of Fingal Head, NSW

"Short walk to the beach"

Main Road is one of our better streets in Fingal Head because there is only bush opposite and no neighbours across from your home making life very private. Along the back of the houses runs Healy Lane so you have dual street access which is terrific for anyone with a boat, caravan etc. This also means that you don't have neighbours bordering the back of your house. The walk to the beach is very short. The bush across the road has whip birds (rainforest sounds) plus many other native birds, the sound is beautiful in the mornings combined with the rolling surf. This is truly a magic part of the world. Fingal Head is still undiscovered in terms of true real estate value. It is pretty amazing to be able to buy a house such as this so close to the beach, airport, medical and shopping for under $1,000,000.

Looking for a home in Fingal Head?

"Definitely a perfect place to raise a family with parkland opposite, river to fish/boating,surf beach and a lighthouse for novelty."

Best scenic drive in Tweed Heads for river views. Fingal road runs along the Tweed River into Fingal Head. The views stretch from Banora Point to Tweed Heads. There is a bikeway through the parkland opposite. The surfing and fishing is spot on. A typical day in Fingal could be - a surf in the morning, put the boat in the river for a lunch of prawns from the trawler wharf in Tweed and a bit of skiing, walk up to the lighthouse to catch the views of Cook Island and Tweed Heads lights in the late afternoon. Great place to live. Gold Coast airport is 15 mins away. Retail therapy at Tweed City with its cinemas. But all you want to do when in Fingal is kick back and hang around with family and friends. Great place to bring up your children with a small school and there is plenty for them to do out and about - become nippers at the surf club/ surfing/bike riding etc. I have lived here for 20 or so years and love the caring of our community which is only 200 households.
