Reviews of Ford Street, Beechworth

"Best shopping village in Victoria"

Busy and always different, Ford Street's diverse shopping include fine European antiques, French garden artifacts, banks , fantastic restaurants bed and Breakfast says such at Freeman on Ford that are just perfect to stay at. The Beechworth Wine Centre has a beautiful selection of the finest local and imported wines and also import their own antiques and garden statues etc. Google their websites for more. Situated in the historic 19th century old bank of New South Wales, sadly the property is up for sale and will be snapped up quickly. Other old bank buildings have been well maintained and are used as acomodation and fine dinning restaurants. A must visit Victorian Gold fields town. Lively festivities about including the Historical Golden Horse Shoes Festival and other food related and historical events and re-enactments.
