"One of Logan’s most sought after suburbs"

Forestdale is an established suburb, with tightly held homes, a mere and easy 30 mins to Brisbane CBD and the Gold Coast.

We think it's one of Logan's best-kept secrets and offers an enviable lifestyle for the families who are lucky enough to live here.

Looking for a home in Forestdale?

"It’s good for retirees but not really anyone else"

My parents moved our family to Forestdale over 10 years ago and at first it was pretty good. The suburb is mostly full of retirees or families with young adult children. It’s very green and they take a lot of pride in the parklands, but there’s no public transport access, no walkability, really poor internet and neighbours are extremely catty and not very friendly.

There’s also a Facebook page where people ‘report’ about suspicious activity, everyone in this suburb seems to be paranoid and nosy. My friend picked me up once and stopped outside my house, his car made it onto the page because he ‘suspiciously stopped outside a house and was playing music in his car’.

There used to be a corner store with a cafe and a few other stores and once that went, I think this suburb really started to go downhill.

"Great for the retired."

Nice green suburb, but not ideal for younger families or professionals.

Absolutely appalling lack of internet speed and lack of services: no public transport, out of catchment for food home delivery.

The local store is expensive and lacking in hygiene... we stopped buying bread there after we found mouse droppings.

Neighbours are quite nosy but not friendly.

Great for

  • Lots of trees
  • Mostly over 50s
  • Large blocks

Not great for

  • Lack of services
  • No transport
  • Terrible internet

"Great relaxing place to live"

Been living here for nearly 3 years after 12 months in Forest lakes down the road. What a great suburb with the best of both worlds. You feel like you are living in the country with all the comforts of a big city 5 -10 minutes away. We liked Forest lakes but went for a drive one day and stumbled across Forestdale it has been the best move for us, great place to bring up kids. Plenty of space they can ride bikes without the traffic worry, plenty of space between your neighbours so they can make all the noise they want without bothering anyone. We really notice the difference having a relaxing BBQ with a few friends out the back and not being able to hear your neighbours BBQ conversation! Highly recommend it to anyone and as long as you have a Ride on mower you can still have your weekend. There isnt a lot of places with acreage that has easy access to the city one way and 45 minutes the other way to Surfers Paradise. Since we have moved here the local shops on Forestdale Drive have really improved especially Maccas Bakery - best Beestings I have ever tasted! Also have a great local Real estate agency in the same block of shops so I suggest to drop in and see them to buy a house in Forestdale.
