In growing up in Forrestfield I did not come accross many avocado trees, there were several citrus growers in the area and these were and still are grown with minimal fuss. Dawsons Garden World are the experts on soil conditions etc in Forrestfield, they are located on Hale Road, they have a contact us section on their website so may be able to give you some expert advise on this.
