I'm not a hunter, but I'm pretty sure there are a fair number of hunting options near Frankfort. The Elk Creek Hunt Club is a bit north in Owenton, and they have shooting competitions and I think they sponspors elk hunts and turkey hunts on Thanksgiving, so you have some chances to hunt in the area.
