Looking for a home in Gladstone Park?

"Nothing is far away"

I have lived in Gladstone Park for 6 years and it is such a great place to live. Shops, bus stops, schools, community centers, tennis, bowls, oval, gardens and beautiful play grounds with facilities are all a minutes drive away from all homes in Gladstone Park. Melbourne CBD is 40 minutes drive (non peak hour traffic), minutes drive from Melbourne airport, the big shopping centers are both only 6-7 minutes drive and the location is so central that is doesn't take long to get any where else either. As for the crime, I haven't seen much at all, just open the local paper and in 6 years I have seen Gladstone Park mentioned only once.
With a new Aldi opening at the Gladstone Park Shopping Center in a week, I can now see why they choose this prime location.
Oh, did I forget to mentioned the Chinese, Fish and Chips, Chicken, Malaysian, Italian, McDonald's, Hungry Jacks, Suvlacki, KFC and Red Rooster are all 3 minutes drive away. Its a fantastic place to live!!

"Up and coming suburb"

Located only 12km from the city and only a 15 minute drive, this suburb is still reasonably priced to purchase in. This is a fantastic place to invest with many different shopping and school options. The properties in the area have decent sized blocks and creates a lot of potential for a successful investment.

The average rental income for a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom is between $360 - $390 per week. The prices are steadily increasing.

Great for

  • Easy drive to the city
  • Close distance from almost everything
  • Neighbours
  • Safety

Not great for

  • Older houses that require renovating
  • Shopping centre

Rentals in Gladstone Park

"Lovely place"

It is a very lovely place with great schools. The houses are so affordable. Unfortunately the third runway of Melbourne airport has turned it down. If you are thinking of buying houses in this area, please do your research about 3rd runway Melbourne airport, you can even enter the address to find out how much noise will affect your house. The noise problem making houses in this area dropped 10-30%.

Great for

  • Close distance from almost everything
  • Friendliest people
  • Neighbours
  • Safety
  • Safeway

Not great for

  • Shopping centre

"Best kept secret"

We have lived in a quiet court in Gladstone Park for three years and we absolutely adore it. It is so quiet and safe, you can walk your dog at any hour of the day and feel safe.
Our neighbours are amazing and majority of the residents in our area are the same people who built the house they are living in.
You can get a great sized block with an older house with a lot of charm.
You are lose to all the freeways, however tucked away enough to not feel amoungst it all.
Only disappointing thing is the old school shopping centre, in desperate need of a facelift,

Hi, was looking to buy in this suburb but was slighlty put off by its close proximity to the airport. Do you get woken up by the airplanes at all? I see that there are proposals for a 3rd runway which would alter flight paths, sending planes all over the houses! Thanks
