Thinking of buying house near Pepper Street and Isabel. Thoughts? ASAP.

Glassell Park, California null is located within the Los Angeles local government area, part of the Los Angeles County Region in undefined.

Thinking of buying a place near pepper street. I am border line hipster/border line young professional. The house is super cute, but the street crosses Isabel Street. Any tips on the area? Safe to walk small dog?

Actually I just looked at the intersection. You are right near the edge of Mt. Washington, which is very safe and has many professionals; and the edge of Cypress Park which has historically not been as safe but has some hipsters moving in. Very nice areas nearby, not so sure about this specific address.

Hey FungusBungus,

I haven't lived around there but have had lots of friends from the area. That is the perfect location for someone who is part hipster/part professional--as you probably know hipster heaven is just to the east in Los Feliz, Echo Park and that area but you are just far enough away to not have the total madness of it. You are probably safe walking your dog there. (If I were you I would take a drive there in the early evening and just look around--if there are other people walking their dogs and doing that sort of thing, you should be okay. If everyone is inside their houses, behind barred windows, then maybe not so much.) That neighborhood is a bit patchy, with good spots and bad, I am told.
