It is a quiet street with plenty of appeal. The houses are good with plenty of street appeal. The neighbours are one of the most friendliest I have ever come across. Life is great in this little street. I dont live here but have been coming up here occasionally over 45 years to nhill and netherby.
I recently spent nearly a week here tending to family business. the neighbours welcomed me with opened arms but have never seen me to this day. They helped look after my mother and watch over her after her accident which left her in hospital for weeks. Margaret and Shane, I thank you very much for the support you have given my mum and my aunt who has been a long time resident of netherby for over 30 odd years and now nhill for over 30 years. You both have shown what neighbourly love is. I couldnt believe it when I used my laptop. It connected to and pick up the wireless signal without a hassle and better than the big smoke. I was little dissapointed to see some of the shops closed down. This is where people need to step in and say well between us we can open this or that and fill those shops back up. It could be a craft shop or just about anything as all it takes is sometime imagation and loads of spirit. To those who own the shops that are empty , give the people a helping hand and get them opened again whether it be rent free as you are getting no rent while they are closed. rebuild the town and hel get the people back into it. Coffee shops, coummunity events you name you can do it. Bring the life back to this town and help it to move forward.
