"A leafy residential street, but right on the train line"
Gowrie Street is a very nice residential area, with spacious homes on sizeable blocks. Lots of families and retirees live here.
It is in a convenient location for every day living, with all of the shops, facilities, services and recreational options in Mitcham just a 5 minute drive away.
Accessing the CBD can be time-consuming though, as you have to navigate the long and busy Unley Road which can be very slow moving at peak hour.
The street is situated right on the train tracks. Although trains aren't frequent, the noise is quite loud when one does race by.
