I don't live in the area, but often when driving down the Grt East Hwy bypass I have planes fly low right across heading to the airport. Strangely I never really hear them. I think it really depends a lot of the wind direction at the time. WHen I zoom in, the google map doesn't show exactly where Narrier Close is, but we are often in Guildford on the weekends and rarely hear plane noise, although we are always saying to our daughter - look at the plane. It looks like the trains might make a bit of noise though, so check how far from the train line that street is - the red marker seems to be right on the tracks! But it is a really nice quiet little spot otherwise. Good character area near Guidlford Grammar from the looks of it.
We live near Kings Meadow Oval, about the same distance from the path of an aircraft on approach or taking off, but a little further out. Yes, the planes are loud but for us, not overly so. When they use the main runway (the more North/South runway) which is most of the time, I need to turn the TV up a little to hear it. Some aircraft take shortcuts and fly directly over the house, but that is very rare. Don't really notice it that much, and it sometimes is drowned out by the traffic and train noises anyway.
I suspect in Narrier close they may be a little louder given they are lower (closer the the airport). Best way to tell is to check out departure and arrival times on a day when the normal SW sea breeze is expected, and sit in your car at Narrier close and hear for yourself.
