Is there a nice playground for kids in Harrison?

That being said however, Harrison does have great pools and a wonderful center.
There are many neighborhood parks in Harrison / Purchase. To start with Station Park next to the Harrison Library is always a fun destination after story hour. Great swings and fun climbing aparatus. Next is Vetern's Park off Webster Avenue, excellent for picnicing too. Petti John Park is in the Avondale area, close to town and very much a neighborhood destination.
Dog Parks are also available but you need to register your pooch first to make sure they are compatible with other dogs. If you live in the Purchase neighborhood, Purchase Elementary School and Community House have great recreational facilities for kids. There is no lack of outside play areas for children & pets.
Don't forget your four legged friends! There is a wonderful dog park at Veterans Park on Chrystal Street too :)
Harrison has more playgrounds than most towns I know...some are easy to find and others are tucked nicely away in the heart of Harrison!s many neighborhoods. One the corner of Harrison Ave by the town hall there is a lovely playground right next to the library. A great place to wait with children if meeting someone arriving on the train which is just across the street. Or, mix playground time with some fun story time at the adjacent library. Pettijohn Park is a small park at the edge of the Avondale section. The Brentwood section, just a few blocks from Avondale, boast one of the two town pools, a great ball field and another playground. These are just a few parks in downtown Harrison and there are others..all within a mile of each other. West Harrison has additional parks and amenities.
Both downtown Harrison and West Harrison have "music under the stars" in the summer, fun for the whole family.
Unfortunately, it looks like you'll have to drive to Scarsdale, Larchmont or other nearby towns for places that are kid-friendly for playing.
That would be Crystal Street ...
