"Pity about the Floods.."
We lived here in 1974 and watched our house (on stilts) be completely submerged by the flood waters. The water went over the roof (approx 10m) so the house couldn't be seen. I loved growing up here, friendly, safe neighbourhood, good schools nearby, beautiful leafy green area, lots of parks... but we were terrified every time it rained heavily. Very heavy rain would cause flooding - it wasn't just the one incident in 1974. I really feel for the people who were living in our house in 2011 because i have no doubt they would have been badly flooded.
