Work and the best part to bring young children up
What is the best part of Hervey Bay to live in as I read a lot of mixed reviews about drugs and crime rate (like most of Australia )
And also Just wondering does anyone know if there is a lot of work for (owner driver with a dump truck) in the surrounding regions ? most work would normally be earthworks just carting dirt. Or are we better off moving closer to Brisbane way or the Gold Coast to find work ?

Hervey Bay is in the heart of the Fraser Coast (290km north from Brisbane). For the ones that might not know it, Hervey Bay is one of the best places in Australia for whale watching. Actually, Hervey Bay calls itself the Whale Watching capital of the world. In spite of it, Hervey Bay could be one of those forgotten holiday destinations given its proximity to the World Heritage listed Fraser Island and due to the fact that the Whale season is in winter.
