We are thinking of moving to Holland Park...any ideas or thoughts from anyone?

Holland Park and Holland Park West would have to be the most accessible suburb to the rest of Brisbane, you can go anywhere on public transport from these suburbs. It offers diverse housing from million dollar houses with city views to units and town houses and renovators delights in great positions to suit all families! Having lived in the area my entire life I know when your on a good thing! Only 10 mins to the city centre and 40 mins to sun and surf at the Gold Coast.
My children had a fabulous schooling at Marshall Road State School located in Kurt Street Holland Park West, and I know that Holland Park Primary on Abottsleigh Street prides itself on an excellent reputation of producing very successful community members. You really can't go wrong!
Weekends you can spend in one of the expansive parklands like Mott Park and Glindermann Park where children's smiling faces enjoy the sunshine and swings while parents are sizzling sausages on electric BBQ's. Where else would you even consider living?

Absolutely no question how fabulous it is living in this location. I have personally lived here for 14 years and have loved every moment of it. I've seen many changes and developments in the area without spoiling the charisma of Holland Park. Your neighbours will be friendly without being nosey as a great deal of people that reside in Holland Park enjoy having their own personal space. Lea Drescher - Ray White Holland Park

We are looking to buy a unit in this area. Can you tell us where are these housing commission areas that we should look out for in this suburb? Cant find any reference to street names on the internet.

Holland parks great but it can be patchy.i live on lawn st,its a nice spot,with a great park, but the closer you get to the housing comm streets the worse it gets.for example at the cnr of lawn st & nursery road the block of flats attracts trash,with 4 guys in particular rumored to be always breaking into cars on nursery road,[probably drugos] i guess.cops often in attendence.i gotta big dog & fence so i dont worry.ive been here 12 yrs & only broken into once[hence the dog]

My youngest went to Holland Park state school and we were very pleased with it. Holland Park is a lovely suburb, but very expensive - expect to pay $700+ to rent a 4 bed 2 bath house IF you can find one -
