Being that Holt is an established and "bushy" area, one would assume that the area could be prone to the fire, however in the history of Holt there has been no more or less fires than other suburbs in the ACT.
Comfort can also be found in the capable local fire fighting resources which are centrally located nearby to Holt in Central Belconnen and also West Belconnen ( new station on Ginninderra Drive ) both only with in minutes of Holt.
