Water skiers will appreciate this relatively narrow stretch of the river where the contours and cliffs ensure that calm waters can usually be found. Other recreational options include off road bicycle tracks and the lagoon, where canoeing is ideal. IMPROVEMENTS: It is, however, the large upper level deck where most of the time will be spent, when not on or in the water, as its elevated, undercover position gives a great vista upstream and across the river. A concrete path provides the way to the timber landing area which is, initially, parallel to the water, then extends into the river, making stepping into boats very easy and without getting wet.
