We have loved living in our beautiful home in Moorooka for close to 20 years now. Our 2 children have lived in this home with us their whole lives. The home is a short distance to Toohey Forest walking, running and mountain biking trails. We spend many mornings exercising in the forest and during lockdowns we have been able to get out of the house with the children and stroll through the beautiful forest. The close proximity to the local Moorooka State School has been so convenient, as we have been able to walk or ride to school in under 5 minutes. The school community has been a great source of connection. The position of the home to public transport and major arterial roads has made it convenient to work in the city, Ipswich, Logan or the Northside. Also, the short walk along the tree lined streets to the train station has made it easy to access the city and south Brisbane via a 15-minute train trip. This has meant that we have been able to attend many amazing events at South Brisbane, the city, or the Performing Arts precinct. We have enjoyed being a part of the Moorooka community and have watched the suburb transform over the years. There are now many cafés, local festivals such as the Chrome Festival and a local funky brewery all in walking distance. We are sad to leave our beautiful home and will miss the afternoon strolls with our dog to the local park, but we need a little more space to accommodate our growing family. We hope you enjoy social gatherings and parties on the lovely north facing back deck with afternoon sunsets view over Mount Cootha as much as we have.
