Moorooka, QLD 4105

Pretty cool places already with a strong food scene. It’s a suburb of two halves, the east side is gorgeous and tightly held. The west side is gentrifying and changing into an inner city medium density region. Something for everyone

Not sure why Moorooka has been held back for so long, but it won’t be held back any more. This place is currently getting a major facelift and will soon be on par with places like Yeronga and Annerley. The streets east of Moorooka like errington st are already very sought after, I would buy a house here if I could afford it but still love this suburb

This suburb is too well positioned to fail. In Melbourne or Sydney this suburb would be $4 million per house at time of writing 2025. Incredible location with the grass roots of a thriving city precinct.

The food options are amongst the best in Brisbane, if not the entire of Queensland. So many underrated restaurants. The Ethiopian food competes with places like Glebe in Sydney. For transport you have a choice of train, major roads, buses, and near the river too. Surrounded by tightly held affluent suburbs to the west, east and south. Only a 10 min trip to the city!

I was around in Sydney during the 1980s when suburbs like Marrickville and St Leonard’s weren’t popular. Fast forward to 2025 and these two suburbs are now multi million dollar gems with high owner occupier rates with high living standards.

As an investor I see Moorooka in the same regard. As a owner I see Moorooka as the heart of Brisbane. Location location location. Food. Transport. Neighbourly atmosphere. Moorooka is 100% the best suburb in Brisbane.

We have lived in Moorooka for 12 years and have loved it for many reasons - toohey forest for bike riding and running, community hub, local coffee shop, community vibe , multicultural food and community, great school within walking distance and safe. 10 min drive to and 15 min bus to Southbank and surrounds

I bought an apartment in May 2022 in the area between Beaudesert Rd and Ipswich Rd, and didn't really know what to expect, having never lived in Moorooka before. It's a wonderful, friendly, neighbourly suburb, with great parks, beautiful, big trees, and a strong sense of community. The houses are all unique and have their own style, with a lot of older homes and Queenslanders, pretty gardens, and lush tree-lined streets. Moorooka is incredibly convenient, so close to South Bank and Brisbane City on the train and bus, which makes for a stress-free commute. The people in Moorooka are the best! Everyone says hello. So many great places are in close proximity, such as the shops and supermarket on Beaudesert Rd, schools and child care facilities, other nice suburbs like Sherwood and Yeronga, Oxley Creek Common and Toohey Forest for long walks, Rocklea Markets for fruit and veg, and Moorooka Clubhouse which is family friendly and fun. There is public transport connectivity to Garden City, Indooroopilly, and South Bank, the City and Fortitude Valley. This suburb just keeps surprising me. Thanks to the cross-river rail project, the train station will be refurbished and made accessible soon. The prices in Moorooka are still quite low given how close it is to the city. I feel like I've made a very good investment in buying here.

Moorooka is no longer an up and coming Brisbane suburb - It's Here! It has come a long way in the past 5 years!!

With a fantastic multicultural hub in the centre, lots of greenspace, super friendly community and situated in easy access West, South and The City. Living closer to Ipswich Rd you tend to hear a few sirens.

This a great place to live. Everyone is friendly here!

There are some pretty cafes like andonis; which is great quality service and good value for money!

World gym is close and the people there treat you like family, it’s so amazing!

Moorooka is definitely the best value for money in a 7km radius to the city. My partner was very hesitant with the idea of buying in this area but 5 months later we couldn’t be happier. Best decision we ever made. Similar houses in Yeerongpilly and Tarragindi sold for $200k more. People are renovating a lot of the older properties in the area and its developing very fast.

Great little cafes around that could give Coorparoo and West end a run for their money. I will advise anyone to buy in Moorooka now while the prices as till reasonable.
