Is this your idea of the perfect country home for your family? Somewhere children will love to play with their two and four legged friends outside rather than glued to their screens inside. There's a selection of nice, level and very usable paddocks and barely a neighbour in sight, but 'town' is just a couple of minutes drive. It's exactly 4km to the post office and the school bus stop is an easy walk.
The views of Mt Buller are amazing with the snow clearly visible in winter! You can be on the slopes in well under an hour, particularly if you get up nice and early and check the conditions while you enjoy your morning coffee on the alfresco. Lake Eildon is only a few minutes in the other direction but you might just prefer to spend summers around the pool in your own little holiday resort.
The Lucas Morris home was built in the late 80's with the perfect solar aspect and fabulous cathedral ceiling and clerestory windows in the 'formal' living and dining rooms. The light filled 'informal' family and rumpus rooms boast the Buller views, so we were hard pressed to decide on a favorite space. The kitchen and bathrooms are beautifully maintained and very functional, and the 4 bedrooms are all reasonably proportioned.
Outside the saltwater pool is securely fenced and the setting is so private you could swim 'au naturel'. The established gardens include a fabulous selection of fruit trees and are irrigated from rainwater tanks. The property is connected to town water and the 5KVa solar system entitles the owners to the top 66c rebate. And of course there are some great sheds here too. Both set well away from the house, one is 11m x 7m with concrete floor and power connected plus some stables and another slightly smaller at 9m x 6m. There's also plenty of mature gums in the paddocks providing shade and shelter for horses and other livestock.
All in all it is a fabulous property, where you can enjoy the best of country life without having to spend hours in the car driving in and out of town.
