AREA & TENURE: 752.1ha (1858acs).

LAND: Mixture of cypress pine & hardwood forest (last milled in 1997).

VEGETATION ISSUES: "Green" on state govt. vegetation maps. Currently being managed according to the code applying to a native forest practice on freehold land.

WATER:
- Small dam with good catchment.

- Seasonal water holes in Sandy Creek.

FENCING: Fencing in mixed order (partly old netting, partly 4 bars new & partly no fences).

IMPROVEMENTS: Old hut needs maintenance.

REMARKS: With current family ownership since 1929 this property has never been "cut-out" resulting in a good return from millable timber every 20 years on average. Round hardwood such as poles, shed & fence strainer posts etc. have been utilized for the owners requirements and are still available for owners use, as are the Iron Bark trees still available for cut fence posts.
Boutique woodworking & polishing varieties (hairy oak, narrow and broad leaf mahogany etc.) are plentiful, good fire-break/road all around the boundary as well as through the property, these have been maintained in August 2011 to affect the maintenance necessary since the previous summers floods.
Some fuel reduction burning has been done since the maintenance. Small dam on good catchment and some water-holes in Sandy Creek have supplied livestock water in the past. Carrying capacity 80 head of growing cattle during the summer month and into the winter period. Currently requires some fencing and an old hut requiring some maintenance.
