When our real estate agent Helen asked us to think about why we love our home, it was easy to come up with a big list of features. . . and we wanted to share them all with you!

This really is the perfect all-year-round home, designed to make the most of Queensland's stunning climate. The home is insulated so it keeps cool in summer and warm in winter. Leave the front door open to enjoy the lovely breeze which comes through the home almost every afternoon. For the very hot or cold days we have air-conditioning in the family room and master bedroom. Together they can heat or cool all 30.5 squares of this wonderful home. And we simply adore the big windows which ensure all rooms are bathed in natural light.

This quiet, child-friendly cul-de-sac is full of delightful neighbours who have happily looked out for our home when we've been away. How to thank them? Invite everyone over for a pool party! The solar heated pool is unbelievably low maintenance as the magical Chemigem, tests and regulates the chemicals automatically (saving you time and money). The huge . . . and we mean HUGE . . . twopak kitchen with spectacular granite benchtops and walk-in pantry has a great view of the pool so it's easy to keep an eye on the kids while adding the finishing touches to dinner.

One of the reasons we fell in love with our home was the abundance of space. We love that when we entertain we can choose from the massive formal lounge (there's room for a formal dining table here as well), huge family room or spacious casual dining area. And that's just indoors! While many homes have alfresco dining areas, there's not too many who can boast an outdoor lounge area (curling up on the couch with the morning paper and a cuppa is a real treat).

The 780m2 block is a hidden tropical oasis. There's a fully fenced, low-maintenance garden with healthy Sir Walter turf, palm trees and native plants including fruit trees. Enjoy the lorikeets drinking honey from the flowers. We sometimes have breakfast under the front porch on cool, sunny winter mornings or simply sit and enjoy the beautiful breeze on a hot summer afternoon. We strategically planted the magnolia and other trees to maximise privacy out the front.

We're excited about our move, but we know it's going to be difficult to find a home that has all.
