NAPLAN scores ?

Hi ,my wife and I are considering moving to hoppers crossing, our daughter is three and we will be looking for a school for her to attend.
My problem is if you check the naplan scores for this area they are extremely low, say compared to Newport or Altona .
This is a problem for us,however maybe going out to the schools might help but it still dose not take away from the fact of the performance of pretty much all the schools in that area.
Cambridge is the highest scoring at 19% which is not great but considering three other primary school in the area are 4% it would be a clear winner, but is zoned.
Anyone able to help me on this with a recomendation would be appreciated

NAPLAN scores are not a good indicator of how good a school is, IMHO. Most schools prepare their students to appear in the tests alone and not concentrate enough on students' regular education. It is a measure (and a poor one at that) of a school's overall success but does not cater to individual student skills. People should stop looking at NAPLAN when choosing a school for their children.

Newport is a $1 million dollar suburb and Altona isn't far behind. Thus, the socioeconomic classification between Hoppers Crossing isn't comparable.
