So many great ones but Jonathan's is excellent with mostly italian dishes and in summer time or warm months they have outdoor seating which is great to sit with a glass of wine and people watch. Next door is Buenos Aires which serves tapas and delicious sangria. For mexican try Besito and definitely order the guacamole made to order either mild medium or spicy (i like spicy). For greek there is Mediterranean Snack Bar which is very casual but the best Greek salad with sliced Gyro over it. Thai USA is an all time favorite and mine and order the Larb...it is ground spicy beef served with lettuce leaves to do your own wrapping. Enjoy!!
Piccolo's is a favorite. But if you want incredibly FRESH fish - Bravo Nader is hands down the best to me. The menu has something for everyone - and if it's not on the menu Nader will make it! But if you enjoy fish, it's a must. Just make a reservation!!
Piccolos always gets my vote - great ambiance and the food is delightful. If you are looking for music and dining. You can enjoy listening to live music Wed - Sun at Porto Vivo (Gerard Street) and Black and Blue (Wall Street). Reservations are suggested.
Where to begin!!! Huntington offers foods of every type. Besito has wonderful Mexican, Storyville/Finleys has a Cajun New Orleans menu which is fantastic and if you are looking for great pub food and a huge variety of beers, you should try Sapp Suckers. Watch for the reopening of Swallow right next to the Paramount which offers tapas that are fabulous! Jonathans, Piccolo's, Joanina's and Black and Blue all offer wonderful menus where you can't go wrong!
Jonathans has a delightfully warm atmosphere and a wonderful and creative menu. The bar is central to the restaurant and has a energetic feeling. It is definitely worth visiting!
I love RED, but they are temporarily closed due to a fire at the building next door. Watch for their reopening and be sure to order the braised short ribs. Joanina's, Jonathan's and Piccolo's are also favorites. If you like great music with your dinner, head over to Porto Vivo's on Gerard Street for great food and upbeat atmosphere.
Joanina's is a hidden surprise, located a block from main street in a small strip center. Owned and managed by a young husband and wife, the family vibe is ever present. Sit at the bar for a true community feel and you'll be served by James, one of the best bartenders in the area. He not only is one of the friendliest guys you'll ever meet, but is a soon-to-be true sommelier. Serving delicious Italian fare for reasonable prices, this is a place where you can easily become a regular. Don't miss the small wine store connected next door, offering a well-edited selection of wine for under $20.
I love Piccolos as well..feels like home away from home. Cozy bar area, Fantastic place for a cocktail and a plate of delightful pasta. Jonathans is also warm and fuzzy…awesome food, great lighting, lovely crowd. Another fantastic restaurant is Bravo Nadar…the restaurant is tiny, the fish is fantastic, and the owner is about as accommodating as it gets..he will make anything for you. They also do a wonderful cooking school on Sundays…a must attend! For delicious Sushi, Kura Barn is delectable, fresh, and extremely creative. Bon Appetit
