Reviews of Jerningham Street, North Adelaide
"A great spot in North Adelaide - close to cafés and parklands"
Jerningham Street intersects Melbourne Street, and stretches to the parklands at both ends. It is a fantastic location, right in the heart of North Adelaide.
Its intersection with Melbourne Street really defines this area of lower North Adelaide, with the Lion on one corner (an Adelaide institution - great pub and stellar restaurant), the Store and Cafe Bocca on two other corners (both popular cafés) and then fourth corner with a Cibo (for great coffee) and Dairy Bell (for home-made icecream).
The houses along here vary. There are cottages (some B&Bs, others owned by professional couples), stately homes (owned by families) and apartments (for uni students and professionals).
There are lots of recreational options, with the Uniloop playing fields at one end, the walking/cycling tracks around the Torrens nearby and a number of gyms in nearby streets.
