Hi, If you want to be close to your daughter (almost walking distance) then yes, Joondalup would be great. It has all the shopping and medical needs met and trains to get you into the city or elsewhere. The beaches are a quick drive as well. Staying fit would be easy if you walked around the lake or to your daughters! There are good walking paths around the lake and then you just get across the main road at the lights. But, there are many gyms, sporting facilties, dance classes etc there in Joondalup. I'm not sure if you mean that you will be working in Forrestfield - or if your daughter does???? That is certainly a long distance to travel and it is not on the train line so wouldn't be so easy to get to quickly. You'd have to head down Wanneroo Rd and get to Reid and then Tonkin Hwy and drive for 30-45 mins, but in peak time a bit more. Since work could be every day, I would be inclined to be closer to work with that distance involved.
