Can you smell the ocean living in Karrinyup or is it too far?

I go to Karrinyup quite a bit for work in the area and I really m not aware of it. It is only when I go over the hill, past the shopping centre that you can see a glimpse of the ocean and then it is front of mind - otherwise I forget I am that close. But, I think it would be more obvious in the evenigns when the wind was blowing the right way.
