We bought a place in kellyville ridge in may 2021 .. absolutely loving it .. well connected to M7, metro stations and buses . Roads are wide unlike newer suburbs . Suburb is close to shops and has good schools .

Lived in Kellyville Ridge for over 6 years, peace and quiet surburb, overall great experience with parks surrounded and easy access to train/bus station.
Close to 3 shopping centers and fair school facilities, a pub closed by near windsor road.
Property not overpriced compared to surroundings, most residents are long term and house owners. Recommended for family with kids.

It's wonderful suburb with loads of parks. Safe and quiet suburb. People are friendly and diverse. Door to station bus service available through app and transportation to Kellyvillle and rousehill is very easy. Buses available to balcktown as well through T-way which is very convenient.

I have lived in Kellyville Ridge for 9 years. It is a great family area and convenient to shopping centre (The Ponds, Rouse Hill and Stanhope) as well as places to eat (Ettamogah, the Brewery etc)

Traffic on Windsor road can be a pain, and a fair distance from the city so maybe not for young single people but ideal for families.

New hospital to be build soon and close to Rouse Hill train station.

Crime is relatively low, the odd house or car break in has occurred (in our street when cars and houses were left unlocked as opposed to doors or Windows been broken) but this happens all over sydney and overall its a safe neighbourhood.

Kellyville Ridge is a beautiful and quite suburb, houses are around 5-15 years old. Although, it doesn't have a station, but very near to the new Sydney Metro Kellyville/Rousehill Stations. It got frequent bus services (express for CITY & normal for any near by suburb - towards Blacktown or Rousehill). It is surrounded by many shopping center options within a range of 1-5 KMs (Stanhope Village, The Ponds Shopping center, RouseHill shopping center, Parklea Market). Good school, plenty of Day cares, Child cares, Medical center and dental clinics. Overall a very nice suburb to live in and a great value for money for your dream house.

This suburb is great compared to neighbouring areas within the Blacktown Council Area, and has fairly new residential developments.

Transport:

The suburb is has well-connected public transport systems, with direct Parramatta and City QVB buses operating frequently during weekday peak times, and direct Blacktown buses operating all throughout the week. On top of that, the area is served with the new Sydney Metro, currently connecting to Chatswood, but will extend to the CBD and Bankstown in 2024, with the nearest stations being Rouse Hill, Kellyville or Tallawong depending on the part of the suburb you are in. Plus, the area is also connected with the existing Richmond Rail Line, with the closest stations being Schofields and Quakers Hill, with direct trains to the CBD, North Sydney, Liverpool, Parramatta amongst other key areas around Sydney and New South Wales. Recently, an On-Demand bus has been introduced, covering most of the suburb, offering customers the opportunity to book buses to Tallawong , Rouse Hill or Schofields station, during weekdays at a time which suits them. This service also supports OpalPay, meaning that you can still enjoy Opal Benefits as part of your journey. Overall, despite being located far from the city, the suburb has great connections with the city and other key hubs.

Shopping:

Although there is no major shopping complex within Kellyville Ridge itself, besides the Ettamogah Pub, McDonalds and new small grocery stores near Windsor Rd, at the suburb boundary, shopping centres within neighbouring suburbs can be accessed within short proximity, either by a short drive or walk, depending on your location in the suburb. The three closest shopping centres are The Ponds Shopping Centre, Stanhope Village Shopping Centre and Rouse Hill Town Centre, being the largest out of the latter. On top of this, Stanhope Gardens also has its very own leisure centre and library, with a gym, basketball court, tennis court, swimming pool and café. Great place for the family to go to! Other shopping centres that are within half an hour drive or bus / metro ride is Westpoint Blacktown and Castle Towers, both of which offer plenty of dining and shopping options. Macquarie Centre and Chatswood Chase are also other viable options, easily accessible with the Metro, which offer many shopping options for certain buyers. If those are not suiting for you, the city is around one hour away.

Education / Schools:

Being a relatively new estate, Kellyville Ridge residents are zoned for two primary schools, depending on the side of the suburb you reside in. These include Kellyville Ridge Public School and John Palmer Public School. Both schools have relatively good student outcome levels and have a fairly good reputation within the community. As for private schools, the surrounding suburb of Stanhope Gardens has a catholic school metres away from Kellyville Ridge PS, which is mediocre in terms of educational outcomes and community reputation. As for secondary education, the suburb is zoned for The Ponds High School, which is a relatively new high school. Although the suburb does not have any universities close-by, Blacktown is currently building a Catholic University which is planned to open within a few years time. Furthermore, the new Sydney Metro amongst other transport networks allow for easy access to Macquarie University, Western Syd Uni, UNSW and other places, which can also be accessed with existing road infrastructure. The neighbouring suburb of Quakers Hill also has a NIRIMBA campus, which has a TAFE campus within it, for vocational education and studies.

Employment:

The suburb itself is mainly only residential, offering limited employment options which are nearby. However, Norwest Business Park is only 15 minutes away, and the M2 and M7 freeways and other transportation options offer quick access to employment hubs including Macquarie Park, Sydney CBD and Parramatta. If you work within a CBD, expect to travel around at least one hour each way.

Housing / Land:

Kellyville Ridge is a great suburb to live in, very secure with minimal crime issues and theft, which is dependent on the area of the suburb you live in. The suburb has a mixed range of homes, including houses that are around 10 to 15 years old, similar to Glenwood's houses within the older side (which is the area around Vinegar Hill Rd) and fairly newer houses that are around 5 years old within newer parts (such as near Burnside St & Fyfe Rd). Ultimately, being very mixed in terms of housing makes it difficult to give a verdict on the overall types of houses there are, as there are both huge houses, small houses, apartments, duplexes and townhouses prevalent across the suburb.

Crime / Theft:

As mentioned earlier, crime and theft are relatively low within this suburb, and is a major plus of living in Kellyville Ridge. However, one area where theft can be an issue is near Ettamogah Pub (Merriville Rd, Tallaroan St, Kilbenny St) and the areas near the apartments, where car theft, vandalism, house / apartment robberies and unfriendly behaviour are experienced by many residents there by the youth and many gangs from neighbouring areas. If I were to be picky, I would suggest not buying or renting in the apartments near Windsor Rd, or live in the regions that are close to Ettamogah Pub or Windsor Rd, as that part of the suburb experiences more crime and theft.

Verdict:

Ultimately, this suburb has been a pleasure for me, and many other people also agree! The suburb boasts many great transport options, good shopping places, is served by good road infrastructure, has a friendly community, new schools and minimal crime. This suburb is great for young families looking for a moderate priced home to live in, and are willing to travel around an hour to travel to the CBD or other major hubs within Sydney.

Like kellyville, kellyville ridge is really inconvenient however beautiful. Not my preferred suburb since it’s over 20km away from the city which is the standard radius towards a gco venue by suburb. It’s also very boring since it has nothing apart from residential parks and lakes. The right place for elderly people not for people looking to have some fun.

Quiet, safe and beautiful place to live. I live in 'The Ponds' area which is a part of kellyville ridge surrounded with lot of parks, cycling track, schools and great neighbourhood.

Christmas street parties, kids running around the street, great community events. Clean & quiet street, ample parking. Clean & well built parks. Overall, a great place to live!

This suburb has got everything quality homes, shopping options, parks, good resale and rental value. This suburb is surrounding by quality homes which attracts people to live in that place. It's surrounded by good suburbs like stanhope gardens, the ponds etc. You have two shopping options here if I am right. One there's a stanhope village(stanhope gardens) and the second is the rouse hill town centre. Comparatively to the suburbs surrounded by city it is more affordable and you get the well maintained and newly constructed houses with reasonable prices. It's a good place for first home buyers. It takes about 50mins to get to city by car and there are T-way buses that comes to the ponds area and stanhope gardens where you can catch it and go to city which I think will take about 1hour20mins.

It is a wonderful place for those who are starting new family. Nice, safe and peaceful. It might not suit for those who love night life. The limitation of pulblic transport during weekend and night time make you inconvenient if you have not own any vehicles.

You got everything for kids and family. Quiet, friendly neighbours, easy shopping etc. Stanhop leisure centre is great with wave pool library, squash court, badminton court etc. Also they have plenty of parks for kids. Just a great place to live.

As few of them mentioned it is bit far from the city, it takes atleast 50 mins to reach the city.

What I love about Kellyville ridge is that its close to castle hill, rouse hill and parramatta. Its surrounded by quality homes, new areas, and fantatic schools that deliver results.

Kellyville Ridge is a great place to live. Close to Pubs,Shopping Centres,schools.Easy access to M7 and M2. Excellent for kids. I have been living here for 2 years and never think about to move somewhere else.

Kellyville Ridge is a nice, new and clean suburb. It is a very new residential and commercial development area and every building around here looks spick and span almost to the point of sterile. Kellyville Ridge has all the amenities that a family will need - from cafes, restaurants, shopping mall, library, banks and etc, you name it and they have it. There is a good mix of both apartment living and houses around this area. However, the houses are typical of the "MacMansion types" and sometimes whole streets can look very similar.

The only drawback with Kellyville Ridge is the lack of transport and its distance from the city. On a good day, it can take up to fifty minutes just to get into Sydney city. It is also a good thirty minutes drive to Parramatta. There are no trains around this area, only buses. The only real way to get around Kellyville Ridge is by car. I have to say that the roads here are wide and easy to navigate but I will not recommend living here if you have to work in the city.
