Living here two years never really had any hassle. Most places have good areas and bad areas but I don't feel vulnerable walking home at night no more than I would in the city centre or Inglewood, Victoria park or anywhere. My partner doesn't drive and so she uses public transport more than myself and its vitally important to me that she feels safe, she does!!

Kewdale, like all suburbs, has some great and some not so great spots. But in general, I feel Kewdale is very under-rated. It has a lot to offer and a lot of beautiful spots to live in. Close to Tomato Lake is great and also up near the shopping centre (on the north side, bordering Belmont/Rivervale).
There is crime everywhere these days, but the City of Belmont provide the Community Watch 24/7 and do regular patrols throughout the streets as well as a strong police presence in the area to discourage criminal activity.
