Retiring to Kingscliff - what to do?

Hi there
Just wondering if any others in their early to mid 60s can fill me on on local volunteering opportunities, social groups etc . How friendly are people there in our age group? Is it easy to make new friends?

We want to stay busy and are looking at potentially moving from Sydney. Lived two years at Lennox Head but must admit we found it it too small too quite not enough on etc.
