Are the residents of Kingsford unduly effected by aeroplane noise?

Aircraft noise is a subjective issue. Depending on the runway being used, many suburbs in the South East (Coogee, Rosebery, Pagewood, Eastlakes) are affected by aircraft noise, including Kingsford. It’s certainly not as bad as parts of the inner west or south Sydney. That being said, if you are sensitive to airplane noise you will want to soundblock your home (bedrooms especially) which can cost around $5K a room to do well (retrofit wall and ceiling insulation and double glazing).

Honestly I barely notice the planes. Occasionally there are helicopters at the hospital that are very loud but it is not frequent
