Kingsley Street, Camberwell, VIC 3124

My family moved to Kingsley street in 1995 when I was eight years old. Quite simply, the street provides – at least it did during the ten years or so that I spent 'growing up' there – an idyllic scene for a childhood. Despite, or perhaps because of its dead-end, the entire street becomes a park for kids of all ages. Bike races, footy games, cricket games, parties, water fights – we had some really great times in 'The Street'. During autumn, we (the various kids of the street) became obsessed with raking the fallen leaves in piles and then playing in them. That amused us for weeks. Of course, a railway line does slice through the area. However, I can honestly say that I don't notice the sound of trains rattling by throughout the day. It's something you get used to. In fact, the proximity of East Camberwell station (and Camberwell station slightly further away) is a great benefit.

All I can say is that, for me, Kingsley street is home. I think it would make a lovely home for you and your family too.
