Kirkwood is a relatively modern suburb located within 10km from Gladstone CBD.
Kirkwood Shopping Centre is the main shopping centre, positioned on the corner of Kirkwood & Dixon Drive, which offers Caltex, Woolworths, Chemist, medical facilities & several other small shops. Green Leaves Early Learning, Forest Springs is also located in Kirkwood.
There is a natural blend of old and new residences and there are vacant blocks available if you wish to build your dream home. There are some lovely nature reserves which are ideal for walking your dog or biking.
