"Quiet rural, leafy setting with plenty of nature walks and bike trails close to town"
Kitchener is the perfect rural village with a relaxed quite and friendly atmosphere, offering many walking, horse, cycling and bike trails and an abundance of birdlife. It has a mixture of both old and modern homes which all boast large blocks. Kitchener also has a wonderful primary school with large grassy playgrounds within walking distance for children and the famous Poppet Head Park with barbecue facilities and a dam which is home to many ducks and at times swans and their babies. It is in close proximity to Cessnock - only being a few minutes drive away. A wonderful area to raise children or retire in. The only drawback is the lack of public transport except for school buses.
