We also enjoy the Rock Creek Trail which is accessed off of 120th St., just south of S. Boulder Rd.. Our Boy Scout Troop does the trail clean up around the parking lot to the trail underpass that goes under 120th St.. This a beautiful section of the trail with a parking lot that is usually not very crowded. Head southwest from the parking lot, the trail is well maintained and is good for walking, biking, strollers, wheelchairs, etc.. This connects up with the Coal Creek Trail as well.

My kids and I have walked the trail around Waneka and it is really nice.

The Coal Creek Trail stretches along the southern portion of Lafayette, and connects to Louisville, and even Superior. There is also a nice trail around Waneka Lake with a bunch of exercise stations, and a great playground for the kids by the boat house.
