Does that train still go around the lake at Lakeside?

That was Willis Case golf course and I also remember watching the frame finale with the American flag. It was the best place in the city to watch fireworks! Great childhood memories for sure.
It's my understanding that they stopped running the train around Lake Rhoda several years ago. As a Denver native who had an opportunity to ride it 100's of times since I was a kid who lived in the area, it was a real treat. Lakeside Amusement Park has a rich 100-yr + history - it's one of the true classic American amusement parks in the country (often referred to as the Coney Island of the West). The park has become a bit rundown in recent years, but it's still an affordable place to take the kids in the summer + the Cyclone wooden roller coaster is running strong!
