Clement Park near Bowles and Wadsworth is a very pretty lake and park grounds, it makes for a good walk. Also Harriman lake near Quincy and Kipling is a smaller lake with a trail around it. :)

There are also a few shorter trails that are "in town." The Bear Creek Greenbelt runs between Wadsworth and Sheridan, just north of Hampden. It has a couple of miles of protected open space with woodlands, trails and a creek. It's kind of a surprising little find there in the middle of a suburban neighborhood. The other is Belmar Park, on the site of the old Mae Bonfils mansion near Wadsworth and Alameda. There's a large open park with a walking trail. It's also home to the Lakewood Cultural Center, which is a fascinating little piece of Lakewood history. They have actually moved some old Lakewood landmark buildings there instead of demolishing them. Also a great site for family pictures -- we took ours there a couple of weeks ago.

In the Area of Garrison and Morrison Rd there is a great park with fishing lakes and many different trails that wind through the area and around the lakes. Other then that the Green Mountain area has lots to offer for seeing the local outdoors as well.
