"Beautiful for a visit, perfect place to live."
Laura, is a smallish country town, that is growing fast. We have our own Doctors and Hospital, Primary School and the High School is only a bus ride away. We have a Chemist, Hair Dressers, IGA, Hardware, Soap Shop, 2 take away shops, Newsagents, Secondhand Book Shop, Jewelers, Mitsubishi Agent, Machinery shop and petrol station, plus 2 Antique Shops. Kmart and shopping can be done in Port Pirie only 40km away.
We have the Golden North Ice cream factory, as well as every year we have the Laura Folk Fair, which starts with a parade, bands, art show, crafts and stalls, as well as rides and something for everyone.
Laura is a beautiful and quiet town nestled into the base of the Southern Flinders Ranges. If you wish to stay you can get a cabin at the Laura Caravan Park, which is opposite the beautiful parklands that have a BBQ, seating, toilets and playground. Once you experience the friendly town of Laura, you'll want to come back again and again.
