There is a Sports Club NY on Columbus and a few NYSC and Crunch gyms around the area. I always recommend Equinox to New Yorkers (there's one at Columbus Circle). It's expensive but all gyms are in New York so for a little extra money, you get a much nicer gym in Equinox.
