Has anyone got some photos of the caterpillar plague? See http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/articles/2008/12/09/1228584826711.html

I don't have any photos that I can find but I had the same situation a couple years ago in Taringa (Brisbane), I can't recall the type of tree it was but the processionary catapillars (I think that is what they were called) infested one tree in our neighbours yard.

They would come down each night I think & go back up in the morning, there were 10s of thousands of them, the base of the tree was almost a meter in diameter and would be covered in them 3 or 4 deep. We ended up resolving it by stopping them from going up & down the tree and killing all the trapped ones. They got into the house & my wife wasn't a fan of them at all.

It was pretty crazy seeing these thousands of caterpillars doing their nightly missions though.
