The short answer to this question is ... ALL the restaurants in Locust Valley are EXCELLENT. The locales know that J's Valley Cafe is great place to grab a cup of coffee. Buckram Stables, with its cozy atmosphere, serves excellent food any time of day from omelettes to hamburgers to salmon or steak for dinner. The Basil Leaf Cafe, specializing in Italian cuisine, is a favorite for lunch, dinner or parties. The food is consistently good and the service is excellent. The Meridian is another small, cozy haunt with wonderful food. And of course, Barneys Restaurant will never disappoint you!
