Mackay Rental Suburb Recommendations

I am looking for recommendations for suburbs in the Mackay region, as I may be moving from Bundaberg to Mackay for work. I have been looking at Sarina, as its close to Hay Point where the job is located.
Also Mount Pleasant in Mackay. The rental is for myself, and I am looking for a 1-2 bedroom unit that is secure and in a quiet suburb.
