Hi Rory, Leanne from RE/MAX Results here, Mackay is currently in the top 20 places in Australia to invest right now. Generally speaking, the majority of properties are returning great yields for investors in a multitude of suburbs however the top performers in my book is West Mackay and Ooralea. West Mackay is sought after as it's close to the Mackay Base Hospital, several schools and the CBD. The majority of renters in this suburbs are doctors, nurses and young families. Ooralea is sought after as it is close to Paget and the CQUniversity. Please feel free to contact me if you're interested in purchasing a property as I have many listings in these areas.
