Mackerras Crescent, Theodore, ACT 2905

This street sits on the side of Tuggeranong Hill and has good views of the ranges. It is within very easy walking distance of the trails around the Hill, which is great for taking the dogs and kids out for a walk. It is a quiet street, being some distance from the main thoroughfare (Lawrence Wackett Cres) through Theodore. There is a park and playground within 5 mins of the street; however, general maintenance is required, which the ACT Government seems reluctant to undertake. There are schools (primary and secondary) nearby and the Monaro Hwy is only a few minutes drive away, making it easy to get to the city centre, the airport (15-20 minutes away) and other venues (Manuka restaurants). There are no restaurants or any other shopping facilities (except for a general store) in Theodore itself but it is very easy to get to places that have them. For those who like skiing, it's very easy to get to the Monaro for a drive to Cooma and beyond. Tuggeranong Hyperdome is 5 kms away and the Calwell shops are about 1.5 to 2 kms away. For those who like 'going bush', Theodore is minutes from the southern outskirts of the ACT, making it easy to head off for a weekend of bushwalking, yet it is still close to all amenities.
