Manhattan Beach is very, very safe. I do a lot of relocation and one thing I won't let my clients compromise on is safety. I have lived here for 20 years and our kids enjoyed a carefree childhood, riding their bikes everywhere and enjoying a fine, public education to boot. For the community amenities, I think homes in Manhattan Beach offer outstanding value. Many communities in the South Bay are much more affordable than other "safe communities" on the West Side. I suggest you grab a coffee and experience the easy, vacation vibe of this town yourself.
